I have been so busy lately with starting at a new school and my new job!

I work at a sports bar/restaurant and the required apparel is a jersey and YOGA PANTS. Yes, the yogas are a pretty nice aspect, yet how do you make a jersey and yogas look good while obeying dress code? Here we goooo....

Accessories. As long as they just add to the outfit and don't overwhelm the outfit, accessories should be OK to add to a uniform. A nice watch, earrings, rings, just a bunch of arm candy.

Also, accessorize the face. Try a bright pink lip, or a nice orange, maybe bright red because you can! Nude lips can also make a statement, subtle but very chic.

If you don't have required shoes, go shoe crazy! Vans, Keds, boots with the furr? Probably avoid the heels if you are in a restaurant environment due to slipping, but if in an office or somewhere where food or beverage aren't served a heel can do wonders!

New Year New Trends

Happy New Year!
It is crazy how fast the years go as you get older.

So, as it is a new year, that of course means new trends. It also means that many of last years hot trends are no longer "trendy".  Leave last years hot items where they are, such as galaxy print, crazy print leggings, maybe even the duck face! There are many things that will be an out in 2014... we'll just have to wait and see what many of them are.

But don't worry, we will be seeing many new trends hitting hard.... my hope is that Dr. Martin's are one of those as well as Timberlands!
